Lewis & Anna
What was your favorite memory from your Sea Island Wedding?
During the ceremony, I had to stop at the top of the stairs leading into The Cloister Garden to take it all in; holding onto my dad’s arm, seeing my closest friends and family in one place, and Lewis standing there at the end of the aisle beneath the oak trees. Talk about feeling loved and grateful!
How did you hear about Sea Island?
My grandparents were drawn to Sea Island many years ago for the tennis, tastefulness, and social scene.
If you grew up coming here, what is your favorite past Sea Island memory?
A shiny little red plane used to fly over the Beach Club on the Fourth of July and drop numbered ping pong balls all over the place, which everyone would run after and redeem for prizes.
What was the inspiration for your décor/theme of your wedding?
A few months before the wedding, Mom took my sister and me on a fabulous trip to Morocco. Sipping margaritas in a courtyard filled with orange trees and candle-lit lanterns after a day of adventure reminded us very much of The Cloister. Themes from this trip were found throughout our wedding weekend.
After the wedding was over, were you pleased with the details? How would you describe your experience at Sea Island?
I felt relaxed on my wedding day and enjoyed every moment with Lewis and the guests, as all the logistics were tended to and the big picture idea was executed with precision. I am so thankful for the Sea Island Team’s creativity and wonderful personalities. They made a process that many find stressful feel like vacation.
