Cottage Rental Details

All Cottages are comfortably furnished with a fully-equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, and fresh linens (including beach towels). Daily housekeeping services may be arranged prior to your arrival for an additional fee. Sea Island Cottage guests enjoy concierge assistance with pre-arrival itinerary planning, including airport transfers, grocery delivery, resort dining, baby supplies and babysitting services, and activity and spa reservations.

Cottage Rental guests can enjoy full access to all amenities of Sea Island:

Cottage check-in begins at 4 p.m. but may vary during peak arrival periods. Check-out is no later than 10 a.m. Check-in at the Cottage Rentals registration office located in the Sea Marsh Building at 351 Sea Island Road on St. Simons Island. (Just beyond the Frederica Road and Sea Island Road intersection). After checking in, you will be greeted at the Security Gate, where you will receive an access decal for your vehicle(s). Should you arrive when the office is closed, proceed directly to the Sea Island security gate to check in.

Cottage Pools — Many pools can be heated for a charge, with 48-hour advanced notice.

Pets — Unless otherwise noted, pets are not permitted in cottage rentals. Select homes and condominiums will accept dogs, for an additional charge, with advance notice. Click here to view dog-friendly properties.

Functions – Functions that exceed two times the maximum occupancy of a cottage (two people per bedroom) are not permitted. This includes weddings and other events.

Sea Island is bordered by five miles of private beach on the Atlantic Ocean to the east and separated from St. Simons Island by the Black Banks River and wide salt marshes to the west. Sidewalks run the length of much of Sea Island Drive (up to 36th Street), making walking and bicycling a pleasant way to reach The Cloister and other resort facilities. Bicycle and golf cart rentals are available through your concierge.

With the goal of transporting you comfortably during your time with us, we offer a variety of transportation services including airport transports from Jacksonville International Airport (JAX), Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport (SAV), Brunswick-Golden Isles Airport (BQK), and the private Malcolm McKinnon Airport (SSI) on St. Simons Island.

During your stay, Sea Island Transportation offers a complimentary shuttle between your cottage and the resort. These shuttles run on demand and are by request. More details can be provided by our team of concierges.

We offer two levels of Housekeeping services to choose from during your stay, ranging from full-service to a light tidy. These Housekeeping services are available upon request, for an additional fee.

The Cottage Rentals concierge offers grocery delivery services for our guests. This service includes placing the ordered groceries in your rental accommodation on the day of arrival for a fee. Georgia Law prohibits the delivery of alcoholic beverages or tobacco products.

From dining delivered to your door or private chef services in your cottage, Sea Island offers a variety of culinary opportunities within a Sea Island Cottage—multiple menus ranging from an intimate breakfast to an elevated evening meal for your family and friends.

Cottages are the perfect place to gather with the entire family, including the little ones! Rental baby items and babysitting services are available throughout your stay in a cottage with at least a 48-hour notice.

Need to ship items to your cottage? We’ll be on the lookout, and deliver any packages that have arrived to the cottage on the day of your arrival.
