Raptor Rangers
Rainbow Island
Become an official Sea Island Raptor Ranger as you fly into the exciting world of birds of prey! In this hands-on experience, young rangers 12 years old and under, will create bird-themed crafts, learn fascinating facts about raptors through fun activities, and have an opportunity to hold a trained raptor on their gloved arm with the guidance of a Sea Island falconer. Each participant will earn a Raptor Ranger Badge and a unique keepsake from their adventure.

What can’t you do at Rainbow Island? The home of one of Sea Island’s most beloved outdoor dinner traditions is also your home base for exploring Sea Island’s waterways. Kayak to a beach for a picnic lunch, learn to sail, or take your yoga practice from the mat to the paddleboard. Sign up for a hawk walk, falconry meet and greet, marsh and beach horseback ride, even host a casual private dinner or event. This waterfront location is a short ride or walk from The Cloister, just over the bridge on your left, and is the starting point of many cherished Sea Island memories.

Join a member of the Sea Island falconry team in The Cloister Solarium for a reading of an owl-themed children’s book and an opportunity to meet Scout, the Eurasian Eagle Owl.
