At once formal and casual, Southern Tide is inspired by the coast of Georgia. And sits right on its beautiful edge.
With arguably the most beautiful view at Sea Island, Southern Tide is completely al fresco, the walls have come down to open the space to the most beautiful thing we have to offer—the ocean. It’s Sea Island oceanfront dining, the way you’ve always loved it.
Dress code:
Before 5 p.m., casual, fitness, dry beach, or swim attire are acceptable. Shirts or swimsuit cover-ups as well as footwear are required.
After 5 p.m., a collared shirt is required for gentlemen and casual attire (no fitness, beach or swim) for ladies. Gentlemen’s hats are not permitted.

Southern Tide
Thanks to stunning al fresco dining, Southern Tide opens up to the most beautiful thing we have to offer—the ocean. It’s oceanfront dining and fresh seafood make it a Sea Island beloved favorite. Perfect for a family catch-up, romantic night out, or simply an incredible culinary experience. Go down the hall on your left as you enter the Beach Club, mid-way down on your right.
Beach Club
The heart of fun in the sun at The Cloister, a short walk from the Main Building. Head out of the main entrance straight ahead and follow the lush path to discover three swimming pools, a waterslide, and splash pad. Poolside dining, our Snack Shack, Wonderland sweet shop, and delicious oceanfront seafood at Southern Tide. Home of two Sea Island shops, Sea Strike & Pub bowling alley, the Nature Center, Camp Cloister, bicycle rentals, and five miles of private beach along the Atlantic Ocean.
The Cloister at Sea Island
Comprising of rooms in the Main Building, The Cloister Wings, and Beach Club, The Cloister offers vibrant rooms and suites on the lush Georgian coast. Here you’re surrounded by activity, and close to wherever your day will take you.
The Lodge at Sea Island
Forbes Five-Star boutique hotel in a secluded private setting. The Lodge is welcoming, comfortable, and the hub of its own Sea Island world. With championship golf right next door. Make your way to the stunning Avenue of the Oaks, Retreat Avenue, on St Simons Island, off the roundabout at Frederica Road and Kings Way.
