  • Our Team Commitment

Going above and beyond, daily.

Sea Island recognizes how committed its team members are not only in their role for the company, but as a community member. Team members have for years served on the boards of many local non-profit organizations or volunteered their time at these organizations. To foster this commitment, each team member receives one paid day each quarter to volunteer within the community with the charitable organization of their choice.

Additionally, the company sponsors Sea Island Cares, a team member-led initiative that provides volunteer opportunities. Hundreds of team members have participated in this program benefiting over a dozen local charities. Days of Caring offers our team the opportunity to work together on a single day with a specific organization. From stocking pantries and backpacks for America’s Second Harvest to building homes with Habitat for Humanity, the impact of our team spreads through the community.

Sea Island Cares Recent Initiatives

The goal of the Sea Island Cares committee is to bring our company purpose to life by creating intentional partnerships with local leaders and non-profits that will: engage our team members, serve as an example of philanthropic efforts for local businesses, and re-invest in the community while focusing on the greater good. Five areas of need are routinely touched: food insecurity, housing insecurity, workforce development, youth mentorship and education, and individual initiatives.

Sea Island team members distribute food monthly at the Mobile Food Pantry and pack boxes for future distribution. Over a dozen team members act as champions for the Glynn County School Pantry Program which provides take-home meals for students. Team members also lead the design and building of the ‘Together, we CAN end hunger’ float in the annual Brunswick Christmas Parade.
